He can create chemistry with just anyone thanks to his remarkable acting chops, and Adria Arjona’s statement about him stands as proof of the same.
This happened recently at a very special event that honored Powell with a Hall of Famer position, where his Hit Man co-star Arjona was present as well. Not only did the 32-year-old Puerto Rican actress have a ton of praises to heave her co-star and on-screen love interest with, but she even went so far as to claim that this wasn’t his summer, but rather, it was his decade.
Adria Arjona Has a Lot of Praise for Glen Powell
Although his career began more than a decade ago, Glen Powell has lately been giving such tremendous pieces of work like the upcoming presumed masterpiece Hit Man and Twisters that even critics can’t help but admit that this just might be the “summer of Glen Powell.”
However, his Hit Man co-star Adria Arjona seemed to differ in her opinions as she lauded praise on him during the recently held Texas Film Hall of Fame induction, where the Anyone but You actor earned the acknowledgment of being a Hall of Famer.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Arjona heaped praise on Powell and put Hollywood on notice about him, declaring:
I want to make something really clear: This isn’t your summer, Glen, this is the Glen Powell decade.
But that isn’t all, because she had a lot more to say about the Top Gun: Maverick actor — something that started with his 13 or so abs and went down to all the beloved qualities the fan-favorite star possesses in real life to be officially declared a massive green flag.
Gushing on in appreciation for him, the Puerto Rican actress said:
[He] is not just incredibly good looking with like 13 abs — I don’t know, I personally haven’t counted. He shape shifts and it’s impossible to predict what he’ll do next. He’s a creator. He’s a writer and producer. He’s funny and, man, is he smart. He’s one of the hardest working people I know.
Now, those are indeed some truly tremendous traits that not everyone can get away with.
Continuing, the Morbius actress then expressed how Powell is “a good person,” claiming:
He doesn’t like winning on his own. He wins as a team and never makes it about himself. Glen, you’re pretty close to perfect, my friend. You light up everyone around you. And if there’s one thing that bothers me about you is that I didn’t meet you sooner.
Okay, we believe it’s time to admit that Powell is, in fact, one of the greenest flags in the entire entertainment industry besides Keanu Reeves, because not only is he an incredibly hard-working person, but he is also thoroughly caring about others. Is that not the true definition of perfect?!
Yet, while Arjona’s praises for him are nothing short of monumental, what his Hit Man co-writer cum director Richard Linklater has to say about Powell further launches him as one of the greatest celebrities in all of Hollywood.
Richard Linklater Believes Glen Powell is “A Movie Star”
Besides the facts that Powell is truly as good on the inside as he is on the outside and that he can actually do everything he sets his mind to, what further sets him apart from everyone else is his exceptional work ethic and demeanor that could never bore you.
Well, at least that’s what Richard Linklater, the co-writer cum helming mastermind behind Hit Man, has to say about him.
During this same event, Linklater also heaped praise on the Set It Up actor, claiming he has the “most-determined-to-work ethic you’ll ever encounter.” Continuing, the Before Sunrise director even said:
Powell is just a truly great guy and fun to be around. Like, what is a movie star? It’s a person you want to hang out with. Well, that’s Glen — a person you never get tired of being around.
Needless to say, that checks out yet another box required to officially ordain the honor of a truly great actor and an even greater personality upon Powell.
Meanwhile, Powell’s Twisters hits the screens on the 19th of July, 2024, while Hit Man is set for a release date of the 24th of May, 2024.
