National Park Harz (DLFF-0006)

On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 08:56 UTC, Lutz DL8MLD, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Joerg DG0JMB/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from National Park Harz (DLFF-0006), on the 2m amateur radio band. Joerg made a total of 15 contacts while at the summit of Brocken (1,142 metres asl) in the reserve.

National Park Harz (DLFF-0006), is a protected area of 247,000 hectares in the states of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, lying south east of Hanover in the Harz Mountains in central Germany. The park in its present form was founded in 2006 and was incorporated in an UNESCO Global Geopark in 2015.
