How is everybody so good in chases but me!

Question

I’m kind of new to DBD 2 months exactly I’ve been playing for but most of you are really good at chases and looping then here’s little me bopping away trying to run next minute I’m on the floor asking why can’t I be good like the others, I see one of my team mates in a chase and there looping and throwing pallets off the killers head, maybe with time il get good, on Friday the 13th game I was amazing at looping and getting away, and what’s up with killers tunnelling the more I level up? It feels like I’ve done something personal to them sometimes 😂😂

‘I’m kind of new to DBD’ should explain it. People you see doing it likely been playing for a long time. You’ll get it. I’ve been playing off and on since it was first released on console and I’m still not the best at it. Just keep playing and look at what the better players too, take corners as tightly as possible, see if you can work out if the killer respects pallets or not etc. you’ll get better over time.

Watch Mr tator head on YouTube. He has looping guides and he doesn’t use any perks in any of his games, which means anything you learn you can replicate no matter what characters you have. In fact once you start learning you can even do better as perks will help you.

Edit: be warned some of his map guides are so in depth they are over 5 hours long. I practice the loops by having a friend afk as killer while I run the tile to learn how to run it. Then have them chase me but not swing. That way I can see how fast or not the can catch me.

I recommend WoO for beginners. You learn tiles better, know which pallets are already dropped and you can focus more on looping rather than finding the next loop.

A lot of it depends on what characters and perks you have - as you level up characters, you get access to more perks.

Kate Denson has a perk, Windows of Opportunity, that's useful for extending chases; it shows you the location of every window and pallet, which helps with getting distance between you and the killer.
