Center for Compassion – 2024 Outstanding Graduate Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Center for Compassion at Evangel University has announced its 2024 outstanding graduate awards. The awards were presented during the traditional undergraduate baccalaureate service held on Thursday, May 2 in the Robert H. Spence Chapel.

The Center for Compassion cultivates a theology of compassion through academic exploration, service learning, and volunteerism. The center partners with Convoy of Hope and other local non-profit organizations to connect the EU community with opportunities for hands-on outreach, engagement, and career development.

The center offers a Humanitarian Relief and Development degree (major and minor) that is available in-person and online.

The Class of 2024

Evangel University and AGTS celebrated 537 graduates at a joint commencement ceremony at Great Southern Bank Arena (formerly known as JQH Arena) in Springfield on May 2. Graduates earned a total of 32 doctoral, 125 master’s, 329 bachelor’s, and 51 associate’s degrees. Of the graduate degrees, 68 master’s degrees and 16 doctoral degrees were conferred by AGTS.
