(this is not the house of Margaret and Bernard Chenowith)
It's a great dysfunctional family saga with many colourful characters, sometimes very dramatic but with enough dark humour to make it all very likeable.
The cast is terrific and all the actors were new to me when I watched it for the first time, except for (of course) Robert Foxworth and Joanna Cassidy. And Ed Begley Jr. And an actor from Twin Peaks.
It's very addictive and there's always something interesting going on.
One of the sons returns home and the family business is threatened by a corporation. It's an ongoing drama but I wouldn't call it a soap opera.
