Sometimes, little siblings get the short end of the stick. Older brothers get to stop taking naps first, ride roller coasters first, and learn to drive first — which just isn’t fair! Jessica Biel opened up about the big childhood milestone her son Silas, 9, is preparing for, and how she is worried about how her younger son Phineas, 3, will react.
In a Thursday appearance on Live With Kelly & Mark, the 7th Heaven alum shared that Silas is going to summer camp this year! “[Phineas] has no idea what’s happening,” Biel told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, per PEOPLE. “And I think it’s going to be devastating for him.”

The Candy star, who mentioned that her two sons with husband Justin Timberlake “aren’t best friends” yet earlier in the interview, added that Phineas follows Silas around like a typical little brother. “Because they’re not best friends yet but you know, [Phineas] wants to do everything. He’s his buddy,” she said. “Wherever Silas goes, he follows. Whatever he’s doing, he wants to play the same thing and all of those things. I think he’s going to literally be like, ‘What happened? Where is he?'”
Poor kid! He’s definitely going to have a hard time with it — especially when he learns all about the cool camp activities Silas is getting to do without him.
During the interview, the Cruel Summer executive producer shared one thing her boys have in common: an interest in the entertainment industry! “They are definitely showing us that they have that kind of interest in singing, acting, performing,” she said. “My older one is very funny, loves the jokes, kind of hammy. Into being a DJ. My little one is like Mick Jagger. He’s like, microphone, and dancing and ‘give me the spotlight.’ It’s crazy how they are who they are.”
Last month, Biel shared a rare photo of her boys supporting their dad’s first show in his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. “It’s a family affair y’all,” she captioned the post, which showed Silas in a black Forget Tomorrow jacket with jeans and Phineas in a black t-shirt and jeans with a backward “Justin” baseball cap on his head. You could see his long curly blonde hair poking out underneath the hat, reminiscent of Timberlake in his *NSYNC days.
