Day trip ideas

We are currently in Haarlem and trying to decide on good day trip idea...looking at Edam, Gouda, or the Hague..something easily walkable but plenty to see casually in a few hours...does anyone have any recommendations?

Easiest to get to Den Haag from where you are, and lots to explore there. This is a very nice list:

A big range of very good food of many cuisines, and of course you can visit the sea side too.

Use trams, when things are a bit further than just walking. Lot of good tram connections.

And just in case you are bored ??? take a tram to Delft.
