Police Investigate Suspicious House Fire In Essendon

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in Essendon this morning.

It is understood two cars were set alight and then driven through the fence of a property on McCracken Street about 2am.

A 47-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were home at the time but not injured.

The home sustained minor damages to the front window.

The exact circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.

It is believed the incident was a targeted attack.
