MUMBAI: Last year, Shah Rukh Khan had the most spectacular return to Hindi films with movies like Jawan, Dunki, and Pathaan that shattered box office records. Following a string of disastrous box office runs, SRK took a four-year hiatus. However, upon his return, he demonstrated that victories are always more powerful than defeats.
His fans are gearing up to see him now once again in a totally different avatar in the upcoming film King which will also star his daughter Suhana Khan.
Now, Jawan’s music director Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music of the film which will be something unique that will compliment the action-packed subject of the movie.
This is a passion project for SRK and he is reportedly personally looking into the creative part of the film and working with director Sujoy Ghosh and co-producer Siddharth Anand into the various developments of the film.
A source revealed, “King is a one of its kind action thrillers, that will introduce a new flavour of action to the audience. Shah Rukh Khan, Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh understand the importance of BGM for a film in this space and have roped in the best in business – Anirudh.”
The source further added, “The pre-production work for King has already begun and the makers are aiming to take the film on floors by August 2024. There is a possibility of an announcement via a proper video asset and Anirudh is already working on the theme music for the film.”
The source added, “King is an ambitious action film, unlike anyone's imagination. The team has been working on the pre-production for the last one year to ensure that all aspects are covered in the right way - from script, to scale and action. Red Chillies Entertainment has always mounted world-class products and King will be no different as the banner is going all out to ensure a grand debut for Suhana Khan.”
