It’s a new week in the MLS, and as another round of matches concludes, it’s time for ESPN’s Power Rankings to reflect on the latest performances.

Inter Miami retained their top spot after a comeback victory against Montreal, where Matíasjas stole the show with a spectacular free kick and an assist for the winning goal. Lionel Messi played a supporting role as the Paraguayan guided his team to victory.

Cincinnati FC also rose in the rankings after a standout performance from Lucho Acosta led them to victory over Columbus. Despite conceding a late equalizer, Real Salt Lake managed to secure a valuable point against Los Angeles Galaxy.

The New York Red Bulls bounced back from a heavy defeat to Miami with a convincing win over New England, while LAFC continued their strong form with a comfortable victory over Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Columbus Crew suffered a surprising defeat to Cincinnati at home, while the Vancouver Whitecaps were outclassed by LAFC. Minnesota United had a bye week, giving them a chance to rest.

The LA Galaxy salvaged a draw against Real Salt Lake thanks to a late equalizer from Miguel Berry, while the Philadelphia Union fell to Orlando City despite Dan Gazdag missing a penalty.

New York City FC secured their first away win of the season against Toronto, but a post-game altercation with their opponents marred their victory. On the other hand, Atlanta United’s poor run continued with a defeat to D.C. United.

The Charlotte Crown impressed with a narrow win over Nashville, and the Seattle Sounders showed resilience to come from behind and defeat Portland Timbers. Colorado Rapids suffered a disappointing loss at home to San Jose Earthquakes, while Toronto FC’s fighting spirit was evident in a narrow defeat to NYCFC.

The Houston Dynamo secured a win over Sporting Kansas City, with Hector Herrera’s stunning strike sealing the victory. Orlando City’s Luis Muriel shone in a win over Philadelphia, while St. Louis City remained unbeaten at home with a victory over Chicago Fire.

Nashville SC struggled in a loss to Charlotte, and Sporting Kansas City’s woes continued with a defeat to Houston. Austin FC suffered a narrow loss to Dallas, and Portland Timbers endured a tough defeat to rivals Seattle Sounders, which saw them drop to the bottom of the Western Conference.

Chicago Fire’s winless run extended to five games with a loss to St. Louis, and New England Revolution faced a setback against the Red Bulls. Injuries marred the Revs’ loss, compounding their misery at the foot of the table.
