1968 Lincoln Continental Sedan

This 1968 Lincoln Continental sedan was acquired by the seller in 2020, and it was subsequently mechanically refurbished. The fuel system was refreshed and an Edelbrock Performer four-barrel carburetor was mounted on the 460ci V8, the front disc brakes were overhauled along with the suspension, and Jamco lowering springs were installed along with a replacement power steering pump, Champion radiator, and Spal fans. The car is also equipped with 15″ US Wheel rims wearing whitewalls, a power-adjustable front bench, and rear-hinged rear doors. This Continental sedan is now offered with spare parts, service records, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished from the factory in Belmont Green Metallic and has been repainted in black. The front and rear lenses were replaced in 2022, and the seller notes a hole in the left-side floor pan.

The 15″ US Wheel wheels are mounted with 235/75 Eldorado Golden Fury whitewall tires. Jamco lowering springs have been installed along with rear air shocks, and the following components have been replaced in the last two years:

Rag joint
Power steering pump
Inner and outer tie rods
Ball joints
Sway bar and links
Strut rods
Front shocks
Control arm bushings
Front brake calipers, rotors, and hoses
Hub bearings
Studs

The cabin houses bench seating upholstered in black leather with a power-adjustable front bench along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. The power windows are wired to a toggle on each door, but the regulators require service. The climate system is not connected.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, though total mileage is unknown, and the seller estimates they have added approximately 5k miles. The fuel gauge does not work.

The 460ci V8 is topped by an Edelbrock Performer four-barrel carburetor that was installed in 2021 along with a Champion radiator and a Powermaster alternator and high-torque starter. Ignition components were replaced in 2022, at which time Spal electric cooling fans were added.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The fuel tank and sending unit were replaced in 2021.
