Any news about New Stargate?

Discussion

As the title says, any news about new Stargate?

When will they start shooting, when they are thinking to release and so on and so on.

On my YT recommended list, a youtuber, whos name I forgot was showing up once in a while who was saying he had some insider information, sadly cause of me forgetting his name, I can't find his channel to see his recent videos.

If there were any reliable news, you can be sure they'd have taken over the subreddit. And there would be a pinned thread too.

The only news is that the script that Brad was working on a few years ago is dead.

There are no YouTubers with insider information. They are, en masse, lying trash who make shit up to drive clicks because they monetize their channels. YouTube is brainrot.

Agreed.

A lot of websites release clickbait articles with "new Stargate" in the title and they're just blatant clickbait

I'm finding the worst ones lately are either video game or TV show articles about something secret that people are being blown away that they're discovering!

You open it to find out it's something you find out within the first few minutes.

Oh I love the stuff like "Skyrim player discovers something for the first time after playing thousands of hours over 13 years!" and its something you'd have to be blind to miss and the game pretty much points you to.

I get at least 5 of those suggested per day.

The bad ones lately are all about secrets in Starfield.

But all the "secrets" are connected to readily available quests or are right there on screen. I'd be surprised if 99% of players hadn't seen them.

I meant SciTrek, another user mentioned him and remembered

There are no YouTubers with insider information.

SciTrek seems to have been right much more than he's been wrong.

SciTrek

Yep, this the youtuber I was talking about.

No. There is no news on any Stargate show. It's all just clickbait that's out there.

Youtuber you are talking about is probably SciTrek. He is talking bullshits. Nobody can have so much leaked informations about anything.

u/ZeroZeroMaybeMaybe avatar

yeh, he is the one I meant.

Dunno about if he is talking bullshit or not tbh.

Just search that name on this sub and you'll come across the multitudes of threads about his reliability, or lack thereof

If any (real) major news comes down, it’s going to light up this subreddit like a Christmas tree. You won’t miss it lol.

The only way I'd want new Stargate is if scAmazon no lnger has the rights.

Amazod made a good job with The Boys and now Fallout. It's all about people behind it

I haven't seen those. I don't care how good a job they do, because I don't give any money to amazon.

u/TaToten avatar

You don't need to give them money, to watch their content...

i dont trust anyone to do it justice. the way nutrek and doctor who etc. have been handled doesnt give me hope for this either. these big networks either dont have a clue or get too busy pushing dei.

OK, so let me get this straight. In Star Trek: TOS, we have celebrating the concept of infinite diversity in infinite combinations. The Doctor, being an alien around Earthlings has always accepted their companions however they come.

And most relevant to this sub, SG-1 is composed of a military jock, a woman whose reproductive organs are on the inside in a senior military role, a literal alien immigrant, and a pacifist nerd.

If you don't like the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion, what drew you to SG-1 in the first place?

I think he means what they did with Stargate Origins, or what was the name of that 8 episode show they did a few years ago?

that was progressive. woke and progressiveness are two different things. one is politically encouraged and forced by a certain sect of our culture while the other was philosophical. tos wasnt forcing their moral code onto people it was painting a picture of their future. and more importantly the writing wasnt emasculating male figures and turning everyone lgbtq nonsensically. compare the bridge crew of new worlds to the bridge crew of tos and how they interact. if you cant see the painful and forced differences i dont know what to tell you.

I've not seen SNW. What are the painful and forced differences?

go watch it. get back to me.

Probably the hoorah US military going blarga blarga at brown people's gods with the notion that it's "promoting freedom". Just a guess. There's a pretty heavy gun nut military fanboy contingent in this fandom-- always has been. (Which is such a massive disconnect with the fanfic fandom for Stargate.)
