Natera vs Labcorp?
Is there something about Natera’s genetic testing that makes it better than Labcorp? My OB uses Natera and it’s telling me I’ll need to wait 3 weeks for my test result to be ready. My friend’s OB goes through Labcorp and it took 3 days for results.
It seems like a lot of offices use Natera. Is it better/more comprehensive? If not, why would they use it if it takes so long?
I used Natera with my first and had to wait the full 2 weeks. Did labcorp this time and got it in 5 days. I also liked how Natera gave you the option to see your gender or not if you wanted to do a reveal. Labcorp just puts it right at the top so you don’t really get that option
They both give you the same results one just takes a little longer
I have heard that Natera has the highest accuracy rate of any of them, but I don’t know for sure if that’s true or just marketing.
My OB uses natera but my insurance (cdphp) covers the genetic testing 100% thru labcorp so I went to labcorp
My OB uses Natera. My collection was revived my Natera 5/3 and my results were available 5/10. The Natera portal estimate for my results was 5/17 so they came early!
