If you're scared of hell, despite not believing in hell... i have a real life story that might help you

(Advice/Help)

i have a story that might help. (but before i say the story, i should say that when you're scared of hell despite not believing in it, that's because you don't know how to think well, how to judge ideas, etc. The following story might help you understand my point.)

8 years ago, my younger daughter (7 years old at the time) was scared that i would die. i have no sickness and i'm the healthiest person alive (except for being 40 lbs too fat). despite my great health, everytime i left the house, she would cry for fear that i would die while away from home. this went on for a few months until one day i tried to reason with her about why she thought i would die. i helped her understand some statistics about death. i looked up death statistics from life insurance companies. i showed her the chances of various people dying, based on age, and type of employment. i had a friend with me, who is a truck driver (18-wheeler), while i work from home. we explained that he had far more chance of dying than me.

after this long discussion, she wasn't scared anymore. she learned how to understand some statistics.

a few weeks later, she saw some new video that said something about some danger that she never knew about before, a disease i think. she became scared, for like a split second, and then she saw the statistic, and then she burst out laughing at herself. she said, "i can't believe i was scared when it's only 1 in 1,000,000,000 chance of getting this disease!"

what do you think?

(this is the 2nd iteration of this post. here's the 1st)
