Girls trip - breweries/bars to visit; other fun?

I am visiting with some friends next weekend. I travel each year at this time and picked Winnipeg to go to Ichibons (it was my favorite restaurant but ours closed). But it’s been busy and I have only made dinner reservations and rented a place to stay. My friend made reservations to Thermea Spa (no extra services were available though). Now people want to know what else we are doing. I dont know. I have never been and my travel companions haven’t gone since finishing college.

We like breweries or bars that include games or “speakeasy” feel. We like to visit places with unique design or activities. Not interested in dance clubs.

We also like to do some kind of yoga or physical health class, that is open Sunday or Mondays.

I am looking for places we should visit that we dont need reservations for weeks in advance.

howmanypeopleareon - The "Doors Open Winnipeg" event takes place next weekend. If you google the website, you can see the different historic and unique buildings, etc. that will be featured. While it's not a bar or brewery, Across the Board Game Cafe might suit you. Speakeasy - The Basement Winnipeg bills itself that way. They have a burlesque show scheduled for next Friday night. Ichiban Restaurant will be fun. Enjoy. There are many genuine ethnic restaurants in Winnipeg for you to explore also. While it will be a long weekend for you, it will not be here. This current weekend is the Victoria Day long weekend in Canada. Monday will be a normal work day for citizens of Winnipeg. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a yoga studio that's open that day.

If you have any interest in exploring historical venues, museums, art galleries, planetarium, there's no shortage of places in Winnipeg. You mentioned 'places with unique design'. I highly recommend the Canadian Museum for Human Rights at The Forks. You can spend several hours walking around The Forks market and surrounding area at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
