I’m considering moving (one of) my current account to Santander Edge. I have curve metal and have set my cashback to a number of supermarkets. Does anyone know if the Curve cashback stack with the Santander Edge debit card 1% cash back in supermarkets and TFL?
I would say, not. These cashback deals don’t usually work if you stick something in between. I think you’ll discover that it’s one or the other, but the only way to know for sure is to do a sample purchase.

No, because your Stantander Edge debit card would be debited by Curve, and not the retailer that Santander is offering the cashback with.
Remember with the Edge current account you also get access to a credit card earning 2% cashback up to £15/m (so up to £750 spend) with a £3/m fee. So basically 1.6% cashback. No reason this shouldn’t stack and I’m currently testing it so should find out when my cc statement comes in a week or so.
Curve passes on the merchant codes, so Santander Edge will indeed recognise those transactions as from Supermarket and Travel. I think there’s a good chance you’ll receive both cashbacks.
If the cashback is based on just the MCC, you’ll get the cashback, but if it’s based on specific retailers, you won’t.
The merchant will be ‘curve’ for every transaction, but curve will pass on the MCC (merchant type).Remember with the Edge current account you also get access to a credit card earning 2% cashback up to £15/m (so up to £750 spend) with a £3/m fee. @insiderfly grateful if you could share the information when you get your statement.Page 3 on this link does indeed confirm it is based on MCC. So should work ok.
@insiderfly have you got your statement yet?
Yes sorry came the other day. £15 cashback posted fine. This was for the Santander edge credit card which I’m using all via Curve. (Actually via curve and zilch).
thanks, but I am looking for whether the debit card cashback which is selected retailers would stack. The edge card is 2% for all transactions right? so not MCC dependant.
