PARKERSBURG — A man who allegedly caused multiple accidents driving the wrong way while under the influence on U.S. 50 last fall was one of 57 people indicted this week by the Wood County Grand Jury.

Andrew Gavin Warwick, 36, 589 Old River Road, Williamstown, was indicted on charges of driving in an impaired state causing serious bodily injury, second-offense aggravated driving in an impaired state and reckless driving, according to a release from the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office.

The incident happened on Nov. 29, 2023, when Warwick was reportedly traveling west in the eastbound lane of U.S. 50, according to court records. Around the 16.5 mile marker, his 2021 Toyota Tacoma collided head on with a 2022 Kia Niro driven by a Pennsboro woman.

The driver of the Kia “was very seriously injured” in the crash, Prosecutor Pat Lefebure said.

Two other accidents, without injuries, were also reported.

Also indicted by the grand jury were:

* Raymond Michael Adkins, 36, North Central Regional Jail; strangulation and domestic battery from June 2022 and burglary, violation of a protection order and obstructing an officer from November 2023.

* John P. Bailey, 51, North Central Regional Jail; three counts of second-offense failure to register from November 2023 to February.

* Marquette Lorenzo Bannerman, 34, 880 Red Hill Road, Apt. 106, Parkersburg; three counts of forgery, three counts of uttering and one count of fraudulent schemes from May 2023 to June 2023.

* Herbert Bess, 52, 1000 Kemper St., Parkersburg; four counts of second-offense failure to register from September 2023 to April.

* Randy Lloyd Brant, 48, 2245 Highway 48 North, Dixton Tenn.; fleeing from an officer in a vehicle with reckless indifference; fleeing from an officer in a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, controlled substances or drugs; driving a vehicle in an impaired state; obstructing an officer; and battery of a law-enforcement officer from February.

* David Edward Britton, 2100 17th St., Parkersburg; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a residence for keeping controlled substances and two counts of person prohibited from possessing a firearm from February.

* Alisha Ann Brock, 36, 2073 Dutch Ridge Road, Parkersburg; first-degree robbery, burglary, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit a felony from July 2023.

* Delbert John Brun, 29, 215 Bella Vista Drive, Marietta; possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy to commit a felony from February.

* Emily Renee Boyd, 25, 430 Henderson Ave., Williamstown; possession of a stolen vehicle and conspiracy to commit a felony from February.

* Timothy Edward Burch, 42, North Central Regional Jail; three counts of second-offense possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver from August 2023.

* Brandon Cody Burton, 24, North Central Regional Jail; second-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault from December 2023.

* Andrew Caplinger, 31, North Central Regional Jail; seven counts of breaking and entering, four counts of grand larceny and one count each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, obstructing an officer and burglary from September 2023 to January.

* Miguel Agustin Paniagua Castro, 36, 1010 Teft St., Parkersburg; soliciting a minor via computer and traveling to engage the minor in prohibited sexual activity and use of obscene matter with intent to seduce a minor from October 2023 to December 2023.

* Patrick Anders Cheek, 37, North Central Regional Jail; four counts of delivery of a controlled substance from September 2022 to January.

* James Brian Dornon, 33 South Sixth St., Parkersburg; third-degree sexual assault and three counts of third-degree sexual abuse from January 2022 to December 2023.

* Joshua Adam Dowler, 42, South Central Regional Jail; persons prohibited from possessing a firearm, persons prohibited from possessing a concealed firearm, third-offense driving while license revoked for DUI, fleeing from a police officer, two counts of obstructing an officer, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of third-offense driving while license revoked for DUI from January to February.

* Preston Dominick Forrester, 32, North Central Regional Jail, kidnapping, burglary and five counts of destruction of property from October 2023.

* Yohannes Tewolde, 37, Salem Correctional Center; Ra’Quan Rahieem Dunbar-Tewolde, 22, North Central Regional Jail; Raymond Allen Conners, 28, Salem Correctional Center; and Damian Joseph Rutter, 41, North Central Regional Jail; two counts each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count each of conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver from January. Tewolde was also indicted on a charge of intimidation of a witness from January, while Rutter was indicted on a charge of possession of a stolen vehicle from December 2023.

* Bobby Lee Tincher, 50, 1119 Lynn St., Parkersburg, and Zachary Ray Garrison, 33, North Central Regional Jail, breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit a felony from March. Tincher was also indicted on a charge of obstructing an officer from March.

* The grand jury also returned one sealed indictment.
