Arsenal will need a huge favor from West Ham United if they aspire to lift the 2023/24 Premier League title on Sunday (May 19).
The Hammers need to defeat Man City at the Etihad Stadium, or at least hold them to a draw for the Gunners to win the championship.
West Ham United, however, have a pretty dismal record at the Etihad Stadium in recent. They have lost seven of their last trips to the stadium in the Premier League, conceding 15 goals.
In fact, the Hammers have actually only won one game at the Cityzens’ home ground since it was renamed as the Etihad Stadium 2011.
That came way back in the 2015/16 season. West Ham defeated Man City by a 2-1 margin, with Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho being on the scoresheet.
In their 11 visits to the Etihad Stadium in the league, the Hammers have lost 10 games and won just once. There have been no draws in the meetings between Man City and West Ham United in this stadium in the last 13 years.
West Ham face a real uphill task in their aim to get a win or draw in David Moyes’ final match in charge. They have only won one of their last five Premier League games, suffering a 5-0 defeat to Chelsea in their last away game.
