Darling Krishna was ready to block dates for the film.

The actor did not accept or sign any other film for the last six months since he was dedicated to Halagali.

One of the most exciting genres in films nowadays is period drama. A Kannada period drama titled Halagali was announced about a year ago, which was supposed to be headlined by actor Darling Krishna. As per the latest buzz, the actor, who undertook rigorous training to make his character look perfect on the big screen, has now walked away from the project. What could be the possible reason? In an interview with News18 Kannada Digital, Darling Krishna opened up about why he chose to not be a part of the project anymore. He said, “Halagali is the biggest project. For this, the team had asked us for three years of dedication. Is this possible for all the actors? Nowadays, it is not possible to devote so much time to one film.”

As per reports, Darling Krishna was ready to block whatever dates he needed to shoot for Halagali. But he claimed that the team did not agree to this. Hence, he decided to walk out of the film.

Darling Krishna did not accept or sign any other film for the last six months since he was dedicated to his role for Halagali. He further shared, “It is difficult to give three years for a film like Halagali.” In the meantime, he was offered a film titled Father under the banner of R Chandru’s RC Studios Production.

Halagali is a film that is set in the pre-Independence era of 1857 and will showcase a war of Indians for independence. The period drama will showcase the Beda community, who were known to be warriors and hunters from Halagali village, which is presently in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka, who fought the British soldiers. It will further show the use of weapons by the bravehearts to defeat the Britishers. The film marks the directorial debut of Sukesh Nayak. As per reports, since Darling Krishna has walked out of the project, the team is looking for a lead actor for Halagali.

Darling Krishna is also gearing up for his upcoming project, Love Me Or Hate Me.
