/r/Parenting is the place to discuss the ins and out as well as ups and downs of child-rearing. From the early stages of pregnancy to when your teenagers are finally ready to leave the nest (even if they don't want to) we're here to help you through this crazy thing called parenting. You can get advice on potty training, talk about breastfeeding, discuss how to get your baby to sleep or ask if that one weird thing your kid does is normal.
Child wants to have a YouTube channel
My 11-year old has been asking me to have his own YouTube channel for years now. He wants his (offline) gaming recorded with him commentating. He's also mentioned that he eventually wants a Twitch channel and do live streaking which I immediately shot down. I feel like he's not ready for that kind of environment yet.
I made him do a sample recording that we watched afterwards where I pointed out some things that he cannot do (like staying quiet for minutes during recording) and small stuff like that.
I'm not good at this stuff so I'm looking for courses or tutorials that can show us how to actually build and run a channel. Any advice or recommendations?
I feel like it will make him really happy and fulfilled if he gets the chance to have his own hobby channel that can keep him busy during the summer.
