Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Softball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Mackenzie Bekofsky, McMinnville

The senior went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, two runs and two RBIs for the Grizzlies in their 5-0 win over Century in a Pacific Conference game at McMinnville High School.

Sam Blachly, Jesuit

The junior shortstop had a huge day for the Crusaders, going 3 for 4 with a home run, two doubles, two runs and four RBIs in their 9-1 home win over Mountainside in a Metro League contest.

Bridgette Boling, Westview 

The senior homered, tripled, scored three times and drove in six runs for the Wildcats in their 12-1 win over Aloha in a Metro League game at Westview High School.

Makena Boynay, Jesuit

The sophomore threw a complete-game shutout, scattering seven hits, striking out six and walking two for the Crusaders in their 7-0 win at Sunset in a Metro League contest.

Payton Burnham, Sheldon

The senior threw 12 innings for the Irish in a doubleheader sweep at Roseburg (scores of 6-0 and 11-0) in Southwest Conference play, allowing no runs and one hit, striking out 31 and walking none.

Morgan Calcagno, Barlow

The senior second baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, three runs and three RBIs to help power the Bruins to a 12-1 win at Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference contest.

Riley Crume, Days Creek

The senior went 4 for 6 with a home run, two doubles, three runs and six RBIs for the Wolves in their 30-19 win at Riddle in a Special District 6 contest.

Reigan Defoe, Junction City

The junior second baseman had a big day for the Tigers, going 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, four runs and three RBIs in their 24-14 home win over Marist Catholic in a Sky Em League contest.

Laney Deloe, Willamina

The senior recorded a complete-game shutout, allowing two hits, striking out 10 and walking four in the Bulldogs’ 7-0 home win over Knappa in a Special District 1 clash.

Bailey Farrimond, Glencoe

The senior went 5 for 5 with two doubles, three runs and six RBIs for the Crimson Tide in a 17-4 win over Liberty in a Pacific Conference game at Glencoe High School.

Addisen Fisher, Bend

The senior threw a perfect game, striking out 12 and walking none in the Lava Bears’ 3-0 win over Mountain View in an Intermountain Conference game at Mountain View High School.

Suzy Foster, Crater

The senior stepped up for the Comets, helping them get a three-game sweep against Thurston in a key Midwestern League series, picking up two pitching wins, including a complete-game performance in a 16-2 victory, and going 6 for 11 at the plate.

Sophia Groshong, Westview

The senior second baseman, hitting in the leadoff spot, went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, two runs and four RBIs for the Wildcats in their 18-1 win over Southridge in a Metro League game at Westview High School.

Isabel Hale, McDaniel

The sophomore spun a two-hit shutout, striking out 12 and walking two in the Mountain Lions’ 2-0 win over Lincoln in a Portland Interscholastic League game at McDaniel High School.

Madelyn Hancock, St. Helens 

The sophomore third baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, three runs and four RBIs for the Lions in their 18-0 win at Tillamook in a Cowapa League contest.

Shelby Hillyer, South Medford

The junior catcher went 2 for 2 with two home runs and three RBIs for the Panthers in their 7-0 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game at South Medford High School.

Holland Jensen, Corvallis

The senior left-hander spun a complete-game shutout, allowing three hits, striking out 13 and walking one for the Spartans in their 5-0 win over Central in a Mid-Willamette Conference tilt at Corvallis High School.

Lia Komitor, Lake Oswego

The senior center fielder, who has been a strong leader all season, had a strong week for the Lakers, which included a 7-4 win over Tigard, going 6 for 12 with an on-base percentage of .625 in addition to making spectacular catches in the outfield, going 11 for 11 on her defensive chances.

Ashlynn Komp, Scappoose 

The junior went 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs in a 13-9 win at Tillamook in a Cowapa League contest.

Jillian Lee, Cleveland

The sophomore tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing two hits, striking out 15 and walking none in the Warriors’ 1-0 win against McDaniel in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Woodstock Park.

Khloe Long, Banks

The freshman first baseman went 6 for 6 with five doubles, a home run, six runs and eight RBIs to lead Banks to a doubleheader sweep against Neah-Kah-Nie, 19-0 and 15-0, in Special District 1 games at Banks High School.

Natalie Macik, McNary

The sophomore had a huge all-around performance for the Celtics in their 15-0 win at Sprague in a Central Valley Conference tilt. She went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs. She pitched five shutout innings, allowing three hits, striking out four and walking none.

Bella Martinez, Marist Catholic

The freshman had two complete-game victories for the Spartans, coming in a 6-1 win over Pleasant Hill and an 11-0 victory against Cottage Grove, striking out nine and allowing no earned runs.

Aidan Moore, St. Helens

The senior first baseman belted two home runs, scored four times and drove in three runs in the Lions’ 18-0 win at Tillamook in a Cowapa League clash.

Jasmine Morales, Roseburg

The sophomore turned in a powerful performance in an 11-0 win at Willamette in a Southwest Conference clash. She went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and three RBIs. She recorded a complete-game shutout, allowing two hits, striking out 11 and walking four.

Natalie Muth, Westview

The sophomore outfielder blasted two home runs, walked once, scored three runs and drove in four in the Wildcats’ 18-1 victory against Southridge in a Metro League tilt at Westview High School.

Kelsie Phillips, Churchill

The senior had a huge day for the Lancers, going 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, three runs and six RBIs in their 22-13 win over Ashland in a Midwestern League game at North Mountain Park.

Mia Rucker, Wilsonville

The freshman threw 13 shutout innings for the Wildcats, allowing six hits, striking out 14 and walking one in wins over Canby and Hood River Valley in Northwest Oregon Conference action.

Avery Rust, Tigard

The junior tossed a six-inning shutout, allowing two hits, striking out nine and walking two in leading the Tigers to a 10-0 win over rival Tualatin in a Three Rivers League game at Tualatin High School.

Kaitlyn Smalley, Amity

The senior had a huge day for the Warriors, going 3 for 3 with two home runs, including a grand slam, and eight RBIs in their 12-0 home win against Sheridan in a Special District 2 contest.
