What makes you feel like a superhero? In my hectic life, I try to give myself pats on the back where I can — small victories! — but what really pumps me up is when I get dinner on the table in a flash. Most of the time, that means relying on leftovers prepared days before that can simply be plated and reheated, if necessary. Other days, I leave cooking to the last minute. Even in weeks when I have my act together enough to have scheduled out our meals, life has a knack for getting in the way. Best-laid plans, and all that.

I’m sure you often find yourself in a similar situation, knowing you have to eat but don’t have a lot of time to prepare a meal. That’s where these recipes come in. I’ve combed our archives for a variety of dishes that you can cook in 30 minutes or less, whether you’re craving pasta, meat, seafood or salad. Have a look, stock up on the necessary ingredients and be comforted by the fact that a satisfying dinner is only a half-hour away.
