CINCINNATI, OHIO– Villanova drops season finale in Cincinnati, 16-5 against Xavier.
Xavier got off to a hot start in the first inning. After
Dylan Dennis got Villanova on the board with an RBI single, The Musketeers put up six runs in the bottom of the inning.
Jack O'Reilly and
Connor Hale both added a solo home run in the second and third inning, making the score 7-3 after three innings.
Xavier scored nine unanswered runs and Villanova added two more after that before the game ended after seven, 16-5 Xavier.
