Deleting the account will not delete the content!
If you don't want people to see the things you posted, you need to go through and delete each post and comment. This cannot be done after the account is deleted.
This seems important
Upvoting so this gets to the top
I remember the full username
Won’t deleting the account keep the content but remove the username from the content?
Yes, but depending on what is said in the posts or comments, it can still be traced back to the actual person.

Interesting thank you for that information that’s very helpful. I’ve never deleted an account, but would have assumed that took care of it. Thanks again partner!
Removing the username is good
Surely GDPR now means they can no longer make this the case?
Reddit operates in the USA, not Europe.
Doesn't matter. They provide access to EU citizens so therefore have to comply with it at least for EU citizens.
I work for a us company in the US and we do.
I don't know what to tell you. I'm not employed by reddit, I'm just reporting how things work here.
But the poster's nickname should still appear as deleted, no?
Yes. But if the content mentions sensitive information, that will still be visible.
Well how can they prove it's your account? Literally say "no it's not mine"
Missing those, these is nothing that can be done. I would suggest searching your emails for Reddit and see if you can find the one used to make the account.
I remember my username
You can reset password if you have a working email that you know. You can change your email if you have a password that you know. If you have neither, there is nothing you can do.
Your question seems to be about having problems logging in with your password.
If you have simply forgotten your password, you can find that information here in our FAQ.
If you think your account has been hijacked, please refer to this help center article.
If you are being told that the password on a brand-new account is invalid, you need to contact the Reddit admins.
For all other questions regarding passwords and logging in, contact the Reddit admins via this support request form, or using this old modmail link.
If your question is not about resetting your password, please wait for a human helper to come along and help you. This post has NOT been removed.

Google your name + reddit, find post with username, reset password, done.
OP won't be able to reset the password, because their post text says:
Reddit requires both of those things to reset passwords.
Yeah, probably can't randomly delete accounts one has no password for either.
Then delete the account*, done.
You would have to reset the password, then delete account.
Sorry, but if you know the Reddit account has your full name... How can you not find it when you search for "full name reddit account"?
its about deleting not struggle searching her name
Says they don't know the username of the account.
This is something they should have no problem finding out.
Even if they found out, the username alone won't help
Damn. Start asking Mods to help. If you say the words "fourteen" and "girl" in the same sentence, some Mods will be interested in helping you for sure lol.
Or you could report yourself for BAN Evasion. It doesn't matter if it makes sense.
*seventeen
Not to be rude, but she’d probably get banned if she did that, because those accounts are run by the same person.
OOP, delete ALL the content you made on that account, and then delete the account.
LOL you are just now learning that the internet is forever? womp
Bro she’s 17. Chill out. There are certainly some things I‘ve said and some things I’ve done that I hope no one ever finds out about. Like a lot of stuff…some of it illegal. But you my username is an example of something. Although everyone found out about that pretty quick.
You do realize reddit randomly generates usernames right? And its no excuse. Parents, teachers, everyone has been telling these Gen Z kids that the internet is forever, they're too airheaded to believe anyone and now it looks like life has taken its course. Sorry not sorry. That generation grew up with social media and they know exactly what its like. Literally for her to be panicking about a job now is pretty ironic considering she didn't grow up under a technology rock.
