Watching the movie 17 again and laughing and tearing at the 2000s nostalgia.
So I’m watching this movie for the first time. Idk how I missed it back when it came out, but I had me laughing hard. It also had me thinking how much things have changed. Just seeing Zac Efron and Sterling Knight that young and remembering that I was Sterling’s age back then. Seeing the flip phones and remembering my old one, remembering the way people dressed and acted back in high school. Man so much time has passed and we’re so old now 😢.

This is a comfort movie I always come back to. Funny and Zac in his prime, better days as things were so much simpler back then.
But it was just shocking to me to see how different things are now, even with just the way teenagers act then versus now. Of course it’s a Rom Com so it’s exaggerated to the fullest but there were a lot of truths in it as well.
Here I was thinking to myself, “no way this came out that long ago!” Just checked and it’s 2009. Damn. I guess I’ve been watching this movie for a lot longer than I wanted to believe 😂
