Will be staying at this end in a couple of weeks and as I understand it, Poniente is the quieter of the 2 main beaches, although looking at webcams it still seems pretty rammed! Can anyone advise (aside from the small Mal pas beach which also now looks very busy) if there is a genuinely and consistently quieter bit of beach further up toward the end of poniente (towards the Finnestrat end)?

22 helpful votes It’s nearly always Quiet at the far end before La Cala even in July and August but as Buyurun says you might not have to go that far along.
Yes, from halfway along and towards the furthest end of Poniente beach, (one of my favourite spots) for a nice peaceful escape Claire, tranquil.

Just what I'm looking for, thankyou! Were staying at h10 so not far of a walk. First time in beni so am curious about the whole shebang(except the new town/strip at night...no!!)
Definitely quieter towards the far end but probably no payable sunbeds/parasols.
Poniente goes on for a long way gets busy at the part closest to the centre but its so long you should easily find a quieter part.
Many more Spanish are on that side and I suspect many Brits don't even know it exists !
Much more relaxed chilled out feel with quiet cafe's rather than loud bars playing sweat Caroline on repeat ;)
