Lucasfilm unveiled the teaser trailer for its “four-piece” animated special, “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” (streaming September 13 on Disney+), where the entire galaxy gets completely mixed up, reversing good and evil.

From showrunners and executive producers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” and “The Addams Family 2”), “Rebuild the Galaxy” concerns nerf-herder Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), who unearths a powerful artifact called The Cornerstone from a hidden Jedi temple, forcing him to rebuild the twisted galaxy.

The Lucasfilm mashup of LEGO sets includes Ewok bounty hunters, Geonosian Jedi, and even Darth Jar Jar. They also snap together Imperial X-fighters, Rebel TIE-wings, and the Dark Falcon.

“Rebuild the Galaxy” marks the 25th year in the ongoing collaboration between Lucasfilm and the LEGO Group. A teaser poster has also been released, featuring the “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” logo, a starfield comprised of LEGO studs, and the Cornerstone.

“The opportunity to work with LEGO and Lucasfilm to rebuild the galaxy has been a dream come true,” Hernandez and Samit said in a prepared statement. “We’ve been collecting LEGO ‘Star Wars’ sets for 25 years, and we have approached this project with a fan’s enthusiasm, crafting this story quite literally brick by brick. For new fans, this will be an exciting place to enter the world of LEGO ‘Star Wars,’ and for lifelong fans, you’re going to see some things that you never thought possible.”

ILM vet Chris Buckley (“Star Wars: Episode VIII  — The Last Jedi”) directs with Daniel Cavey & Dan Langlois producing. Other executive producers include James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler, and Keith Malone.

The voice cast also includes Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling), Bobby Moynihan (Jedi Bob), Marsai Martin (Yesi Scala), Michael Cusack (Servo), Ahmed Best (Darth Jar Jar), and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).

Atomic Cartoons did the animation, with Alice Ching-Wen Yang and Garnet Fellhauer serving as character animation directors and Adam Egler, Jason Poulsen, Lucy Figueroa, and Nhi Ngoc Hoang performing animation lead duties. In addition, Alex Shaulis (“Star Wars: The Bad Batch”) was ILM’s technical director.
