McCurdy previously celebrated the 40th week on the New York Times Best Seller list and the one-year anniversary of her memoir on Instagram. Published on August 9, 2022, her memoir delves into her experiences as a child actor and her troubled relationship with her mother. Remarkably, the book sold out on Amazon just one day after its release.
Besides being a writer and filmmaker, McCurdy is also well-known as an actress and singer. Her breakthrough role as Sam Puckett on the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly (2007–2012) garnered her four Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
She reprised her character in the spin-off series Sam & Cat from 2013 to 2014, before concluding her association with Nickelodeon.
