Prosecutors have submitted their sentencing recommendation for Adam Montgomery, asking that he be sentenced to 56 years to life in prison for murdering his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony. Montgomery was found guilty in February of second-degree murder for killing his daughter in December 2019. During his sentencing in that trial, he denied killing Harmony and said he looked forward to refuting "those offensive claims."Aside from one day of jury selection, Adam Montgomery did not attend the second-degree murder trial. He also requested that he not be required to attend Thursday's sentencing, but a judge has ordered that he be present.Adam Montgomery's sentencing will air live on WMUR-Channel 9, wmur.com and the Very Local app. Sentencing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Thursday and will likely take a couple of hours.
