A subreddit dedicated to New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Bringing you news, information and updates on the world of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and its wrestlers.
I’ll tell ya right now, I’ve grown to like comedy wrestling in the past few years, especially stuff with Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Yano, Yohishiko, Minoru Suzuki’s adventures in DDT, but Dino is kinda my limit.
I remember watching a clip of Dino simulating sodomy on Ikemen Jiro, and thought “naw, I’m good man”.
Then you sure wouldn't want to see his mistreatment of KANON in the stands at DDT x Zeekstar Tokyo last month! I find it quite funny, I think of it as consenting adults putting on a ridiculous performance (which it is), but fully understand that it's definitely not for everyone.

In a world where pro wrestling is basically combat-based theatre, Dino is the equivalent of experimental post-modern theatre/performance art. 95% of people will go "wtf was that," but the other 5% think it's a work of absolute genius and will write books explaining why. And there is absolutely zero in-between opinions.

Oh I definitely don’t see it as a condemnation at all of Dino; as far as I know, he’s a decent dude.
It’s like how I never thought Joey Ryan and his “dick gimmick” was funny (and it seems like Ryan is a legit scumbag).
Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
