Q&A
there must be fifty ways to leave your lover
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy, just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus, you don’t need to discuss much
just drop off the key, Lee, and get yourself free
Glad I'm not the only one who thought of this
As promptly as possible so as to not waste anymore of each other's time, and as kindly/gently as she deserves.
Honestly and respectfully. Keep it simple.
Satisfied.
"I'm going out to buy some cigarettes."
By bike.
During childbirth? o.O
Go to the forest under some pretext, on the way ask her to go out and look at the wheels of the car, at the same time just drive away :)
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is working out. I’ve really enjoyed our time together but I think it’s time to move on. Best of luck to you.”
"Let's break up"
The best way to leave someone regardless of their gender is by making sure your exit plan complete.
In other words, you've taken the time to consider the person's potential reaction and consequences.
You've removed any personal items you had at their place and arranged to send or deliver their items.
I believe in implementing the "no-contact rule" after a breakup.
Never offer or accept friendship as "consolation prize".
You are the last person who can help your ex get over you.
It also might give them "false hope" of possibly reconciling.
Lastly, it's unrealistic to expect to go from being "red hot lovers" to instant platonic friends acting like siblings.
The best friendships between exes usually occurs after a large gap in time where they have both moved on emotionally and found happiness with other people.
(In an ideal situation you want to have the breakup discussion at their place.)
That way when you've said what needs to be said you can leave.
The other person also doesn't have to get behind the wheel to drive while being upset.
Whereas if you did it at your place you have to figure out how to get them to leave and if you took them out somewhere you have to deal with an awkward ride together.
When it is all said and done firings and breakups are done at the comfort level of the person who wants out.
The person being dumped or fired has no say on when or how the event takes place.
When you realize someone is unable/unwilling to meet your needs it's usually best to move on.
No one is stuck with anyone. Suffering is optional.
"We don't walk away to teach people a lesson. We walk away because we finally learned ours." - Unknown
"Dating is primarily a numbers game.... People usually go through a lot of people to find good relationships. That's just the way it is." - Henry Cloud
Best wishes!
My ex slept with someone when we had agreed our relationship was exclusive. No recriminations, I collected my clothing, said a simple “Good night” and I left. I blocked her on social media and phone.
Take her on a date. Some fancy restaurant. Then when you arrive drop her off and “park the car” then just drive off. Fuck that bitch.
Just leave: no heartfell speech and no tears; just walk away. you dont need to waste your breath there
