Aaron Wan-Bissaka could now quit Man United – sources

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will join a long list of Man United players likely to leave the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke explained that Wan-Bissaka, 26, will be the latest first-team star put up for sale in a major clearout at Old Trafford.

The right-back has featured in 25 games across all competitions this season, including United’s last 11 in a row as he established himself in Erik ten Hag’s side.

This comes shortly after Football Insider revealed that Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton and Anthony Martial have been told their contracts will not be extended ahead of their expiry this summer.

Wan-Bissaka will join a list of potential departures which also includes Christian Eriksen, with the club looking to cash in on both stars who have just one year remaining on their current deals.

After arriving at Old Trafford from Crystal Palace in a £50million deal in 2019, the right-back has struggled to make a name for himself as a regular first-team player.

His tough-tackling style and defensive ability are a staple of his game, but there have been lingering concerns about his ability on the ball during his time at the club.

Football Insider revealed that United will undergo a mass clearout in the transfer window in a bid to raise funds for reinvestment, with their budget tight as things stand.
