I didn’t want him gone, but I thought he’d either walk early or not see next season.

That aside, exact same here.

Told you so folk are the absolute worst carrot.

Most of the dissenters earlier in the season have had the good grace to admit they were wrong yet some fannies just have to rub it in. Embarrassing.

We won the league. Effin enjoy it.
It's an internet forum so if folk are strident or even vicious in their stated views, they should expect to be reminded when they are proven spectacularly wrong.

I was always happy to give Rodgers the benefit of the doubt, he has a lot of credit in the bank after all.

Some of our form was concerning for sure but the guy is a good coach. The way he subtly pushed Clements buttons as the huns started to implode showed a whole new, sneaky side to him that i liked.

Wanted him sacked after we lost to Lincoln Red Imps in his first competitive game in charge.
His decision to start Nat Phillips in the 2-1 defeat to Kilmarnock in December only confirmed my opinion.
Phillips had shown his ineptitude for all to see in the game before after coming on at half-time against Hibs and being absolutely honking.
Rodgers is never a Celtic manager.
Total clown.
Can't believe people disliked my honest opinion. You might not agree but I am entitled to say the guy has no clue about managerialism.
Like a Brendan cult in here now.
Much preferred it when all the  'Uber Tims' agreed with me.
Oh wow. Two examples, the first of which was literally his first game in charge, and no mention of his trophies.

Can’t decide if this is genuine or a total windup!

Hahaha, there are some people who definitely get off more on being supercilious towards people who don't share their views rather than enjoy Celtic winning the league.

Blind faith is not a good thing.
Blind faith had its rewards…….Celtic won the league - I got proper buckled - Rodgers vindicated (are they singing about me again?) and all done without having to come across like Viz spoilt bastards.  There’s a lot of supercilious folk in here who’d be more delighted to be proved right than see Celtic win….
You spout some amount of utter shlte

I'd hope that "managerialism" was a clue.

Part of me still thinks he came back to purge us of Lawwell(s) & make us what we should be.

Winning the league makes his point, that he's a top class manager & surely he'll be properly listened to by DD now.

Let's see, I actually already thought this after Nicholson went out to Majorca to seek his appointment - so, been bitten before.

Now he's secured £50m & made the point of not using many 23/24 signings, surely to God DD will listen to him & back him.
Maybe an eventual DoF post for him, in a few years?

Anyway, 3iar under these circumstances deserves backing. He's served his penance, if that's what it was all about.

Naw - that’s spitters. Then badge kissers. Then told you so carrot. Then it’s fannies who want every carrot sacked after every home draw. Then it’s Huns. I think.

I already love him, but if he’s see’s off Lawwell Sr and replaces Greg Taylor in the summer, he’ll be right up there with Martin O’Neill in my eyes.

He came home to lead the green and white 😗

Ah jeez we're at the "love" stage again are we

Where we are right now is the scene in the Blues Brothers where Carrie Fisher (the support) has John Belushi (you know) groveling in the mud ...  andJohn's gotten up and charmed us all again as only he knows how to do ... remains to be seen what happens next, maybe in the director's cut Belushi wins the league 5 more times.

The meter is firmly at "Brendo" AFAIC and he's done the necessary, he should indeed be having fun and I hope he is.

Not having Reo for so long had a huge impact on the way he wanted the team to play.

I just want the club to give him the best opportunity to build the team he wants.  His done enough to warrant that.

From about last November time I felt the league was about 60-40 in our favour. The football was very rarely enjoyable and the last minute equaliser at home to Killie was a sickener. Not winning away to Hearts after the huns had been beaten by Motherwell the day before was also a desperately poor result. My big fear was if we did lose, the CL money would demolish the baked-in advantage that McCann astutely built. Thankfully that hasn't happened.

However, with that said, we should never lose sight of the fact that Rodgers is among a group of individuals at Celtic who make us much better than the opposition - Hart, CCV, McGregor, Hatate, O'Riley, Kyogo and Forrest. The huns have absolutely no-one with the skill, experience or stature to compete with these guys. Their lap of honour for a draw at home demonstrated their small-time mentality.

That this group of winners at Celtic is so small with our relative riches in the bank speaks to the utter shambles that is our corporate governance. Literally appointing their weans to well-remunerated positions within the club. Make no mistake - anyone other than Rodgers would have collapsed under the utter pile of shampoo that litters our squad. Players who would barely get a game for Livingston.

If he sees out Lawwell and his hun-loving patsies, he should genuinely have a stand named after him.

Remember the way their players and staff behaved after the draw at ibrox a few weeks ago?

Rodgers certainly did, and played them like an old orange flute since then.

I'll throw in another tit-bit. Some of the SPFL managers are in a group chat where they talk about how best to play against Celtic (and no doubt Rangers as well). This has helped certain teams have success in games against us this season. Rodgers, due to injuries earlier in the season, was not able to vary the Celtic team significantly.

He has been able to do that recently. Hearts and Kilmarnock have been successful against us with high presses and physicality. In the past 2 games with our better players returning we have at times been more direct getting the ball to Idah early. His hold up play has been good and allowed the team to move up the park more quickly rather than in phases, typical of Rodgers play. This variation in play has disrupted how the opposition were set up against us. Rodgers spoke last week about being at the training ground to 6.30pm at night. He is a workaholic.

Ange was a revelation for Celtic but there were signs from February last year that his style of play was starting to be countered by the opposition. Just as we are seeing in England this season. I was eager to see how his team evolved in summer 23. From the signings we made (and I accept Ange may have found some gems) I'd have been very worried how he would have fared this season.

I want to see Celtic making real progress in Europe. In his 2 seasons Ange never got anywhere and the less said about Bodo the better (one of the most disgraceful performances I have seen from a Celtic team in Europe in recent times).

Rodgers showed a pragmatism in Europe this season and that to me was an indication of how he could adapt the Celtic team and his style of play. That'll be the acid test next season.
What? There's a group chat consisting of managers discussing how.to beat us? Fecking hell.

In saying that, they'd probably be better served looking in here for a list of our weaknesses.

I was happy he came in after Ange as I thought he’d have only come back if he was backed by the Board. When that wasn’t the case in Jan and some of the performances that followed I thought he might well walk at the end of the season.

Last few week he seems to me to be fired up and he’s come into his own. Needs backing and probably deserves it too. With our current board anything is possible though!
