When John Duke of Touraine Valois was born on 31 August 1398, in Paris, Île-de-France, France, his father, Charles VI "le Bien-Aimé" de Valois Roi de France, was 29 and his mother, Elisabeth von Bayern Reine de France, was 28. He married Jacqueline Jacoba Wittelsbach von Bayern in 1406. He died on 5 April 1417, in Dordogne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, at the age of 18, and was buried in Picardie, France.
