Jenna Ortega Movie With ‘Wednesday’ Co-Star Gets World Premiere Date

Following

Jenna Ortega’s new movie Winter Spring Summer or Fall — which also stars one of her Wednesday castmates — has landed its world premiere date at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Percy Hynes White — who stars as Xavier Thorpe opposite Ortega in the hit Netflix series — stars as a co-lead in Winter Spring Summer or Fall. Billed as a romantic drama, Winter Spring Summer or Fall is rated R.

The film’s official description on the Tribeca Film Festival website reads, “Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White star in this sweet teen love story about a Harvard-bound girl genius and a laid-back guy who find each other in their final year of high school.”

According to the festival, the film’s world premiere will be held at the OKX Theater at BMCC TPAC in New York City on June 6 at 5 p.m. ET. The film will also play two more times during the festival — at Village East by Angelika on June 7 at 2:30 p.m. ET and again on June 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Tickets for all three screenings are available on the Tribeca Film Festival website.

Directed by frequent Emma Roberts collaborator Tiffany Paulsen, Winter Spring Summer or Fall also stars Marisol Nichols, Adam Rodriguez, Elias Kacavas and Evangeline Barrosse.

The film’s release date in theaters has not yet been announced. When it is released, Winter Spring Summer or Fall will be distributed by Paramount worldwide.

Ortega’s Latest Film Is Finding An Audience on Netflix

Jenna Ortega’s latest movie Miller’s Girl made its debut on Netflix on April 26, along with some controversy.

An R-rated psychological drama that examines an inappropriate relationship between an 18-year-old student (Ortega) and her much older teacher (Martin Freeman), Miller’s Girl has drawn attention because of the age gap between the characters and the film’s provocative subject matter.

Freeman discussed the controversy in a recent interview with The Times of London, calling Miller’s Girl "grown-up and nuanced” while noting, “It's not saying, 'Isn't this great?'"

Ortega will next star in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, director Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel to the 1988 supernatural comedy classic Beetlejuice, starring Michael Keaton in the title role.

Ortega stars as Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder), who was a key character in the original film. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will open in theaters on September 6.

Ortega — whose other film credits include Scream and Scream VI — is currently at work Wednesday Season 2, which is expected to make its streaming debut on Netflix in 2025.

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall is making its worldwide premiere in the Tribeca Film Festival’s Spotlight Narrative category. The festival runs in New York City June 5-16.
