Endrick says goodbye to Palmeiras ahead of schedule to join the Brazilian team

Endrick, current Palmeiras striker and already sold to Real Madrid, was recently called up by the Brazilian team to participate in the Copa América. For this reason, he decided to report to the training CT in advance, leaving Palmeiras earlier than expected.

Leaving in a hurry

The still Palmeiras striker, Endrick, was called up by Dorival Júnior, coach of the Brazilian national team, to be part of the main team that will participate in the Copa América 2025. Therefore, the athlete who decided to leave Palmeiras in advance, for his third time wearing the green and yellow shirt, will leave before the start date of the competition, which starts on June 20th.

Unfortunately for the São Paulo team, this is a problem, as his contract with Verdão would end when he turned 18, on July 21st, and he would then leave for Spain to play for Real Madrid.

Thanks to the call-up, Palmeiras will be able to count on their top scorer for just 8 more games. The fans will have their farewell at home in the game against San Lorenzo, for Conmebol Libertadores da América, which takes place at the Alviverde stadium in São Paulo.

Endrick's last match, however, will take place in Minas, at Arena MRV, home of Galo, where Verdão arrives as a visitor, for the 9th round of the Brasileirão. Despite this, after the decision to leave early, the attacker will no longer play a total of 11 games for Palmeiras.

11 games before the end

The São Paulo team will be without its striker in eleven matches, in the Brasileirão alone, even though his contract is still active. The player's arrival at the national team's training camp is planned for June 3rd. And on July 21st, his birthday, he must leave for Spain, as that is the deadline for that.

“He joins Real Madrid immediately after turning 18”, confirmed the player's agent, Thiago Freitas, from Roc Nation.

Endrick's calendar in the national team will include friendlies to prepare for the Copa América and the games of the Cup itself following the 3rd, his presentation, until the end of the competition, scheduled for the 14th of July. There were some expectations that he would play for Verdão in that short period between the end of his call-up for the national team and his move to Real Madrid, but they were not confirmed.
