The Lower Merion School District is proud to congratulate five graduating seniors who have received National Merit Scholarship recognition thus far in the annual competition.

In April, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that Paolo Agosti of Harriton High School was the recipient of a Pfizer corporate scholarship.

This month, he is joined by National Merit Scholarship recipients Arielle Biran of Harriton and Alan Chen, Lela Miller and Daniel Vossough, from Lower Merion High School, each of whom will receive $2500.

The 2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists, who were judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

In June and July, recipients of the college and university scholarships will be announced.
