Street Fighter 6 PS5 PS4 PlayStation

Fans can sleep soundly at night, safe knowing that the upcoming Street Fighter movie appears to be in capable hands. It might still be a long way from hitting the big screen, produced in partnership between Legendary Entertainment and Capcom. Still, the directorial duo (and brothers) Danny and Michael Philippou are at least headed in the right direction, judging by the film's newly revealed poster.

Courtesy of Collider, the Street Fighter movie debuted its official logo at the Las Vegas Licensing Expo and is sure to appeal to longtime fans of the series. Now spanning more than four decades, the series is older than many of its players. The brothers Philiippou are Adelaide-based filmmakers who started on YouTube and made their directorial debut in 2022 with the A24 haunted-hand horror film Talk to Me.

If you need more convincing, check out what the brothers are capable of in this almost-decade-old YouTube classic, Real Life Street Fighter (thanks, ResetEra). Content warning: it's extremely Australian.
