Stuntman Tony McFarr, who served as a body double for actor Chris Pratt in multiple blockbuster movies, has passed away. His passing was first reported on by TMZ with a subsequent announcement on the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida, confirming the news.

Reportedly, McFarr unexpectedly died on May 13 at his Orlando home of undetermined causes. A medical examination has taken place with pending toxicology results. According to McFarr's mother, the stuntman had been active and healthy, making his passing very shocking. McFarr was 47 years old.

McFarr's stunt career began in 2011 with work on an episode of the hit series Bones. He'd go from there to work on many major productions as a stunt performer, such as other shows like Teen Wolf, Burn Notice, One Tree Hill, MacGyver, The Walking Dead, and Homeland. He's also doubled for Jon Hamm in Tag and worked on motion pictures like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, Captain America: Civil War, Furious 7, The Accountant, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, and more.

The stuntperson may have been best known for his time spent doubling for Chris Pratt. That collaboration first began with McFarr serving as a double for Pratt's Owen Grady in the first Jurassic World film that was released in 2015. McFarr would return as Pratt's double for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as the sci-fi movie Passengers. The stuntperson worked as Pratt's double for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as well, though he'd suffered a fall during filming that left him with a head injury.

In 2016, Pratt celebrated McFarr's work as his double after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 wrapped by posting a photo fo the two together, along with a message stating, "Here's me and my stunt-man Tony McFarr (also Tommy Harper stunt coordinator and our first AD Lars Winther) on set. Been working with Tony since Jurassic World. Love you buddy! Happy wrap!"

McFarr had also been working as a restaurant owner. He'd opened a couple of restaurants in Florida, such as a film-themed eatery called Reel Bowls that's near the Orlando area.

McFarr's survivors include his daughter, sister, mother, and father. The family reportedly plans to host a celebration of life for McFarr within the next few weeks, and he'll be buried near his late grandmother in Pennsylvania.
