Touchdown Atlantic returns on July 29 with a big Canadian Football League matchup.

The defending Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts will face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Halifax.

The regular season matchup will take place at Huskies Stadium on the Saint Mary’s University campus, with kickoff at 5 p.m. AT.

Last summer’s Touchdown Atlantic, which also featured Saskatchewan and Toronto, sold out in less than 24 hours.

The Argonauts defeated the Roughriders 30-24 at Raymond Field on the Acadia University campus in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, in front of over 10,800 fans.

According to the CFL, last season’s event generated more than $12.7 million in economic activity in Nova Scotia, including job creation and wages, event expenditures, and out-of-town travel spending.

The Saint Mary’s University football program is one of the most successful in the country, having won nine Vanier Cups and three Canadian university football championships (in 1973, 2001, and 2002).

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed veteran quarterback Trevor Harris on a busy first day of CFL free agency and provided him with plenty of support.

The Riders signed Harris to a two-year contract on Tuesday, which was not surprising given that sources said last week the veteran quarterback had reached an agreement during the CFL’s free-agent negotiating window. Saskatchewan not only provided the former Montreal Alouette with a familiar receiver, but also some much-needed help up front.
