Why'd they make his forehead smaller in Photoshop? I swear these studios use special effects for everything these days...

Truly baffling...

We would have also accepted, "Batteries Not Included."

No no you see, it's called dramatic irony because we all know it's Sauron but they don't know it's Sauron.

I am very smart because I went to film school and you are illiterately media-wise because of you're not going.

See how smart the show is? SEE??? SEE?!

Tbf I think a lotta mauler fans can be really obnoxious and snobby as well. The amount of times I’ve heard some idiot say “lOnG mAn BaD” as some kind of checkmate against criticism. All communities have those types.

I'll agree there are people who will deploy such a thing too readily, especially if the evidence that they provide is something excessively long to the point being made. If you're refuting a point, get to the moment that is relevant instead of expecting someone to spend an hour to find what the hell you're talking about.

They are so smart that they made the biggest flop in the history tv shows!

Given the timeline they wanted to convey, you don’t need to be an experienced expert writer to know there’s NO REASON Sauron should be known until at least halfway through a third season. Rushed storytelling, incoherent motives, and “wow” factor are ingredients for a poor plot.

u/FoopaChaloopa avatar

The entire idea of Sauron hiding among elves is silly to begin with since they’re the hardest to corrupt

u/Working-Trash-8522 avatar

Ya but that’s how it goes in the Silmarillion, other writings, and the lore, they just executed it poorly. In Tolkiens world, he’s pretty much almost entirely successful, but that’s after he’s shed his disguise and declares war on the elves for keeping the rings of power.

u/FoopaChaloopa avatar

That was a dumb choice by Tolkien

u/Working-Trash-8522 avatar

I’ll take that as surface knowledge, and that’s totally fine.

Huh, where'd you get the idea that Elves were the hardest to corrupt from? The whole point of giving the Ring to Frodo was because Hobbits were the most resilient to its corruption. Morgoth literally created Orcs by corrupting Elves. Hell, some Elves didn't even need to be corrupted, Feanor, Celegorm, Curufin, Eol, and Maeglin all chose to commit evil acts out of their own free will.

The elves have rings that they use for good, doesn’t corrupt them. Even to the point Frodo is corrupted..

Yes, they weren't corrupted because they knew Sauron betrayed them and they chose not to wear their rings to avoid being corrupted. Once Sauron lost the One, he lost the ability to corrupt the wielders of the rings, and the Elves were safe to use them without any danger. This is also why Sauron never tried giving the Nine rings out to more people to make more Nazgul, because he needed the One Ring to do that. The Three Elven rings were also made by Celebrimbor without Sauron's knowledge, so they weren't as susceptible to the One Ring as the other rings made directly under Sauron's supervision.

Frodo was eventually corrupted because no one could willingly cast the Ring into Mount Doom. It doesn't change the fact that Gandalf and Elrond believed he was the most resilient to corruption out of everyone at the Council of Elrond.

How ironic that in the book, Galadriel was one of the few Elf leaders along with Elrond who never trusted Annatar and didn't even allow him to enter their borders.

RoP!Galadriel lacks discernment which is a downgrade from True!Galadriel.

At this point I just look forward to the ceremonial bullying of the corporate product. I'd actually be disappointed if this wasn't shit, but I don't think Amazon will let me down.

You lied to me. You lied about x-men. You wrote it was good and not woke shit. It has enough plot holes and errors to be a swiss cheese.

There could be a whole whack of Saurons running around!

It's like Heisenberg and his seven horcruxes.
