Florida has punched its ticket to the NCAA Softball Tournament, safely advancing into the final field with a dominant win Saturday evening.

In the SEC Softball Tournament championship, Florida and Mizzou squared off to conclude a dramatic week of games. While the full week provided plenty of drama, the Gators left no doubt with a dominant performance for the 6-1 win.

The game stood scoreless into the 2nd inning, but the deadlock would not last long. Mia Williams broke things open with a home run, drilling a 3-run shot over the scoreboard in left field.

It was Williams’ 5th HR of the season and could not have come at a bigger moment:

Skylar Wallace was the other big offensive contributor for Florida. After an RBI single in the 3rd inning, Wallace delivered the blow to put things fully out of reach in the 5th inning.

With 1 out and a runner on, Wallace drilled a 2-run HR to straight away center field to make it 6-1 in favor of the Gators:

On the mound, Keagan Rothrock went the distance for Florida with a sterling performance. She scattered 1 run on a sacrifice fly in the top of the 4th but otherwise shut down the Tigers. Rothrock scattered 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6 in 7 innings for the win.

Now, Florida and the rest of the country will wait to find out their seeding for the NCAA Tournament with a Selection Show set for Sunday.
