As rookie minicamp continues through this weekend, the Bills are signing former University at Buffalo football standout LB Joe Andreessen. He was one of 26 players participating in minicamp on a try-out basis and has now been added to the active roster.

Andreessen is a 6-foot-1, 232-pound local product who grew up in Depew, NY and gets a chance to start his pro career in his hometown.

Andreessen spent his graduate season playing for the University at Buffalo. He started in all 12 games and registered 90 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, one sack, two passes defensed and one forced fumble in 2023.

Prior to UB, the LB spent five seasons at Bryant University. Andreessen earned All-America honors at Bryant after recording a school-record 116 tackles in 2022.
