Vera Ellen Smith Bonieski OBITUARY

BONIESKI, VERA ELLEN SMITH 51, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2004 in West Palm Beach. Vera was born to Thomas M. Smith and Barbara (Meeker) Smith on December 23, 1952 in Deland. She was raised in Mount Dora, and was a 1972 graduate of Mount Dora High School. She remained in Mount Dora until 2000. Vera was filled with a love of life, family and God. She touched everyone with her optimism, energy, kindness, strength and compassion. Despite endless obstacles in her life, she never stopped believing in love and happiness, always bringing the positive possibilities of goodness and graciousness to those around her. She sacrificed greatly and without hesitation for her children and her family. Vera found fulfillment in the tremendous love and passion she shared with her husband, Ed. Vera leaves a bit of her spirit in the communities she loved so dearly. As a devoted member of the Bay Street Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Eustis, Lake Ola Baptist Church and currently, Royal Palm Presbyterian Church in West Palm Beach, she gave unselfishly to God and fellow church members. She gave equally to close friends and complete strangers. Vera had a distinguished career as a paralegal for 20 years. Her education, dedication and professionalism had a most positive impact on those she served. Vera and Ed co-owned Bevona Inc., an architectural elements company in West Palm Beach. Vera’s sudden and unexpected death from heart failure has left her survivors with truly shattered hearts. Our world will never be as bright again as it was during Vera’s life. We can only take comfort in our memories, the strength she taught us, and the anticipation of a future reunion in God’s kingdom. Vera is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Edward (Ed) Bonieski of West Palm Beach, FL; two sons, Richard “Alan” (Jennifer) McKeeby II of New Smyrna Beach and Eric Matthew McKeeby of Washington, D.C.; parents, Tom M. and Barbara A. Smith of Mount Dora, FL, and one brother, Thomas “Tommy” M. Smith (Ida) of Paisley, FL. Visitation is from 5-7PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mount Dora. Funeral service is at 1PM on Thursday November 11, 2004 at Lake Ola Baptist Church in Zellwood with Dr. Joe Warner officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora, FL.
