When I first visited, I didn’t know what to expect.

Dearest McKittrick residents, staff, and fellow guests,

When I first visited, I didn’t know what to expect. I wandered, sometimes aimlessly… sometimes with purpose. I was scared. Bewildered. Amused. Intrigued. Walking into a universe separate from your own is a rare experience… and one that drew me back again… and again. Over time, that world came to feel parallel to my own, not only because of the breathtaking events that took place within, but because of joy and love shared between residents, staff, and guests alike.

The times in life that I most appreciate are the ones that cause me to reflect on who I am and who I want to be. To consider what effect I want to have on the world. The McKittrick has incited me to introspection countless times… it has compelled me not only to engage with others that I would not have otherwise, but also to better appreciate who I am. Time and time again my experiences at the hotel have reminded me that the key to most things in life is found, first and foremost, through the love of yourself – and I feel so lucky to be able to carry those reminders through the rest of my life.

Thank you for everything you’ve given me.

With love,
Chase
