Send FlowersWilliam "Bud" L. Ray Sr., 77, of Radcliff, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
Bud was a veteran of Vietnam and worked 46 years for Brandenburg Telephone Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Etheleen Ray; a sister, Joy Pike; and a brother, Bernard H. Ray.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Buchanan Ray; a daughter, Jessica Helgert (Kevin); a son, William "Bud" Ray Jr. (Molly); three sisters, Barbara Pike (Alton), Linda Bradley (Randall) and Pat Wheaton (Robert); a brother, Joe Ray (Gina); four grandchildren, Graysen Bolton (Kaleb), Josie Lowery, William Tucker Ray and Rory Ray; a great granddaughter, Stevie Kay Bolton; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Ray; and a brother-in-law, Sam Pike (Pat).
A Mass of Christian burial is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove with the Rev. Jeff Gatlin officiating. Burial with military honors follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
