I'm sort of confused by this. The stuff I saw said he's leaving the show, but no indication of whether it was his decision or theirs. When they announced Mika will be gone, they said some things that implied it was her choice.
I don't think it's his decision to leave the show. In Deadline's article about his departure, it mentioned about the budget cuts. It could be the production's decision.
