Brand New Piercing Concern in need of advice

Hey everyone, so I just got my Prince Albert done yesterday at a 8G curved barbell. I’m intact with a connected frenulum and a loose foreskin. My piercer did a great job and I had no complications whatsoever getting it done and had minor bleeding at initial piercing. I spent the day in very minor pain just a tad uncomfortable, by the end of the day I had bled quite a bit. Last night I woke up and saw that I was bleeding through my underwear and went to change the dressing on my penis. As I got up I noticed that I was bleeding a lot but I expected that and just handled it with no issue. This afternoon I used the bathroom and as I pulled my skin back to look at the piercing to spray with saline I noticed the connective tissue next to the piercing has quite the split in it. I messaged my piercer asking for advice and if I should be worried or not and am just waiting for a response; so I wanted to reach out here and see if anyone has experienced the same thing or has any advice and if this is something I should be worrying about. They didn’t pierce through my frenulum or foreskin so that isn’t the issue. I’m wondering if getting an erection in my sleep caused the split to happen as that’s the only thing I can think of at the moment. Thanks in advance.

(Once the initial healing stages are done with I’m excited to share what it looks like.)

Intact and pierced in march. I had some additional bleeding myself during night time erections but the “split in the connective tissue” does sound a bit concerning.

If I can help at all or any questions I’m happy to answer but it’s probably best to get eyes on the problem by a professional.

Just spoke to my piercer and they said it was normal and should heal without any issues along side my piercing. so I was just panicking 😅

No worries. I had a stress bump form around my piercing and started panicking about that and 3 weeks later it’s nearly gone now. So I get it 🤣

I would ask to be seen by your piercer for advice. My piercer excepts pictures as an initial consultation.
