Fans of James Patterson's best-selling detective book series are in for a treat as a new small-screen adaptation of Alex Cross is on the horizon. Check out the first official teaser for "Cross," Amazon Studios' eagerly anticipated detective thriller series starring Aldis Hodge (from "Black Adam" and "One Night in Miami") in the iconic role of Alex Cross.

Set to become one of Amazon's flagship detective shows, "Cross" has already been greenlit for a second season, signaling the streaming company's confidence in its potential. Certainly, as the series will be following the success of similar-themed Prime shows like "Bosch" and "Reacher."

Here, Aldis Hodge steps into the shoes of Alex Cross, a brilliant detective and forensic psychologist noted for his ability to unravel the minds of serial killers and bring them to justice. Hodge follows in the footsteps of esteemed actors like Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry, who have previously portrayed the iconic character in feature film adaptations.

Joining Hodge in the series is a stellar supporting cast that includes Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.
