Sony PS5 Pro Reveal Rumoured To Take Place at the Supposed May 2024 PlayStation Showcase; Check All the Details Here

There two topics around PlayStation that have been making rounds of the internet for quite some time now. The first topic is obviously the PlayStation 5 Pro, which is the mid-gen console refresh that is rumoured to arrive in late 2024. The second topic of conversation is an upcoming PlayStation Showcase which is reportedly going to take place this month. Interestingly, both of these topics could be correlated according to recent revelations.

Sony PS5 Pro reveal expected at May Showcase

Industry insider, Jeff Grubb, recently posted a video on the Jeff Grubb’s Game Mess YouTube channel where he spoke about the PS5 Pro and the PlayStation Showcase. Reiterating for the third time, Grubb stated that he still thinks that the ‘May Showcase’ is on the cards. Grubb thinks it is a showcase, but it could also be a State of Play or some event, but he is leaning towards a showcase. Grubb then goes on to talk about what to expect from the showcase.

He starts off with the PS5 Pro, stating that this could be something that we should see during the showcase. Grubb added if he remembers correctly, Sony has announced a mid-gen refresh during a showcase before, referring to the PS4 Pro. However, this is his speculation and not confirmed through any sources, also the Grubb then speaks about what else could be a part of the show and mentions popular developer Sucker Punch.

Ghost of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch may reveal new title at upcoming showcase

Grubb says that he is “hopeful that they see something from Sucker Punch, that is causing Ghost of Tsushima 2 to take a little bit longer than we were expecting”. Grubb adds that it could be something related to Sly Cooper. Again, even this is not confirmed, but something he’s heard about. But, Sucker Punch had stated in 2022, that they had “no plans to revisit inFAMOUS or Sly Cooper right now”, maybe they could have changed. If there is indeed a PlayStation Showcase happening this month, then it seems it could be a really big. However, we will have to be patient to know for sure.
